Kennelly Cup
As usual our Kennelly Cup Finals day on Friday 24th January proved to be a wonderful sporting and community event. We were delighted to have Mr Tony Kennelly in attendance to witness such wonderful football and beautiful sportsmanship. After weeks of games after school and intense competition in the final Daniel Henry’s Kildare team were worthy winners over a gallant Kerry team captained by Kyle Norton. Mr Kennelly presented the Cup to a joyous Kildare team and their captain Daniel, who made an eloquent and appropriate speech. Great credit must go to Mr Phelan for co-ordinating the tournament and team managers Mr Costigan, Mr Dowling, Ms Walsh and Mr Phelan who gave up their time to tutor this years players. We now look forward to the medal presentation and nominations for both Player and Most Improved Player of the tournament.
