Parent Council AGM

29th May 2024
Our Parent Council AGM on the evening of Tuesday 21st May proved to be an emotional and nostalgic event as 5 long standing members of our Committee stepped down due to their children leaving SPN in June 2024 and making the transition to second level.

WIth our Chairperson Jane Kennedy, Secretary Corina Brennan and Treasurer Sinéad Robinson all stepping down along with Karen Mulhall and Ania Noonan leaving the committee a huge void will be left.

Over the last number of years our Parent Council has fundraised, influenced policy and procedure in the school along with always being a voice for every child and parent. As school Principal I thank them for their time, energy and commitment to SPN.

Time brings change and I look forward to working with our new committee and executive. I wish Our new Chairperson Claire Gough, new Secretary Michelle Kelly and new Treasurer Laura Rainsford all the best as they take on these new challenges.

The conversation and discussion at the meeting was, as always, child centered and the suggestions from the meeting will form the starting point for our new Committee in September 2024.

Willie O’ Gorman,
School Principal.
