Secrets of the Sea Exhibition Opens

20th January 2026

By Brendan

On Saturday the 17th of January, our school made history by hosting its very first art exhibition in the Art House, Athy,  and what a debut it was!

Secrets of the Sea is the culmination of a week of dedicated planning and creative work by a group of talented pupils from 4th to 6th class. With a strong focus on clay, construction, drawing and watercolour, the children produced a breathtaking collection of artworks inspired by the magical world beneath the waves. From mysterious deep-sea creatures to shimmering underwater landscapes, each piece reflects imagination, skill and a genuine love for art.

The exhibition was warmly received by members of the local community and honoured by visits from Anthony Haughy, curator of the Art House, Éilís, Kildare Arts Officer, and even Ryan Tubridy. All were blown away by the standard of work on display and by the passion and effort evident in every piece.

Our young artists should be immensely proud, they have proven that creativity runs deep in our school.

Secrets of the Sea is truly worth a visit and is open to the public:
Monday–Thursday: 9:30–1:00
Friday: 9:30–12:30

Dive in,  you won’t be disappointed!
