Congratulations to our school’s Senior Boys Gaelic Football team on their success in the Cumann na mBunscol Div 4 final against near neighbours Scoil Diarmada, Castledermot.
The boys and their management team of Mr Kiely and Mr Phelan have worked tirelessly and continuously over the last number of months and this effort was obvious on the field in Moorefield yesterday.
In what was a tight, nervous and extremely competitive game our boys had the desire and courage to get over the line and lift the Cup.
The celebrations and excitement was beautiful to witness and after a Captain’s performance on the pitch Finn Clancy gave a lovely speech when accepting the trophy.
Let’s hope that sport can continue to give children such happiness long into the future.
